Set the Atmosphere

A great Superbowl party should be one thing – fun. Aim to make your guests as comfortable as possible. Make sure there is plenty of seating, including floor pillows, ottomans and chairs. Seating should be placed so that everyone has a view of the television screen.

There are often some guests who will not be interested in the actually watching the game. A good idea is to have a separate area for kids to play or adults to gather and socialize away from the viewing area. In my family, people often gather in the kitchen so I always make sure to have plenty of chairs around the table. A playroom or kid’s bedroom can be setup with games and activities for the little ones.

Another way to make the environment fun is by decorating. You can decorate in team colors or just a general football theme. Whatever you choose, make it fun and festive. If you’re a parent, this is a great way to get the kids involved.

Focus on Food

Food is a huge party of throwing the perfect Superbowl party. There are few things to consider when planning the menu. If there are guests with dietary restrictions or food preferences, include a variety of options such as vegan, or meatless dishes. Of course include the usual game day foods like pizza and wings, but also add in some healthy options. Also include both savory and sweet foods. Try these amazing recipes your guests are sure to love.

Superbowl party food should not be fussy, but simple and easy to eat. Finger foods are perfect for this – no forks needed. Just make sure to have plenty of napkins on-hand.

For drinks, have a well-stocked bar as well as plenty of non-alcoholic drinks. If you prefer to just have beer instead of a variety of alcohol, make sure to have a few different brands and types.

Get Guests Involved

At most parties, there are guests that may not know everyone else attending. If this is the case with your Superbowl party, be sure to introduce your friends and family to others. Don’t forget the children in this as they may make a new friend also.

Playing a game or placing bets on the score and winner is also a good way to get guests talking and interacting. Whatever you do, keep the mood light and make it fun.
